Support Our Chayalim-Yashar L'Chayal

        URGENT! IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED!

The National Council of Young Israel has undertaken an urgent campaign to meet the direct, personal needs of Israeli soldiers currently fighting in Gaza. This campaign is providing basic items not supplied by the Army, including fleece jackets, ski quality long underwear, wool socks, hats and scarves,  special packages to wounded soldiers and even baby wipes.

We are privileged to be working with an incredible organization known as Yashar Lachayal. Begun by volunteers working with the brave soldiers of the IDF since the first Lebanon war,  they are currently  providing  all types of supplies, not offerred by the IDF.  

With no administrative overhead, Yashar Lachayal has established strong contacts with many units that deeply appreciate its efforts and the basic necessities it provides.

 
Examples of the some of the items currently needed and their costs:
·       High quality fleece jackets - $20 each

·       A package of socks, undershirt and underwear - $8

·       Ski quality long underwear - $18

·       A package of a wool scarf, wool hat, and wool socks - $20

·       A case of baby wipes – used for washing and even maintaining weapons, including tanks -$24.

·       A package for a wounded soldier – includes a bath robe, bath towel and toiletry bag - $38.

As you can well imagine, the requirements needed for our brave soldiers are immense and the time to act is now.
Items are purchased and delivered daily and requests continue to stream in from units and individual soldiers. Your help is urgently needed. Please forward this information to your members.Also, we ask that you publicly appeal for funds this Shabbos so that we can respond as quickly as possible.
