American-Israelis Disclose: Website of Jerusalem's US Consulate Blatantly Ignores Israel

The American Israeli Action Coalition (AIAC) today charged that the official website of the US Consulate in Jerusalem is Judenrein (free of any Jewish presence). The AIAC stated that its investigation has disclosed that all of the website's content is SOLELY about the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, with NONE of the website's content being about Israel or Israelis. The charge is set forth in a large, prominently displayed advertisement in today's edition of the Jerusalem Post (a copy of which appears below).

AIAC is a non-partisan, non-political, issue-oriented NGO which was formed in Israel to represent the united voice of the more than 250,000 American citizens living in Israel on issues pertaining to the continued safety and security of Israel and the Jewish people worldwide.

"This disclosure is almost beyond belief," stated Harvey Schwartz, AIAC's Chairman. "It is as if the United States is totally denying the existence of Israel or Israelis. We do not believe that this is in accordance with the will of the American people."

Aaron Tirschwell, Executive Director of AIAC, noted that "the website is replete with stories and pictures of programs financed by the US government SOLELY for Palestinians but NOT for Israelis. It even reports on the availability of educational financial grants, funded by the US government, to candidates who must be Palestinian thereby excluding Israelis and other Americans from participating in such financial grants. The website further discloses that the US government has provided more than $530,000,000 to fund these exclusionary programs. It is highly doubtful that any Americans are even aware of this of a US Consulate and the existence of these stealth programs, much less support them."

Mr. Schwartz further commented that "the Obama administration's continued efforts to marginalize Israel are becoming more evident daily. The US Consulate's efforts, as disclosed by AIAC's investigation, demonstrate that those efforts are continuing unabated."

In its advertisement, AIAC called upon all American-Israelis to advise the White House and their elected representatives whether they believe that this program is "consistent with American principles of fairness and decency."

"AIAC intends to bring this disclosure to the entire American citizenship," Mr. Schwartz continued. "It is far too important to be swept under the rug. Unless the Obama administration corrects the situation promptly, it will continue to foster to the detriment and embarrassment of the United States."

AIAC is devoted to effectively recruiting and activating the more than 250,000 expatriate American citizens in Israel in order to create a united voice that will be heard by the governments and people of the United States and Israel on issues that pertain to the continued safety and security of Israel and the Jewish people worldwide.
