Today is Friday, May 9, 2008

The National Council of Young Israel in partnership with Metropolitan Jewish Health System invites you to explore the halachic obligations and responsibilities of Rabbonim, Rebbetzins and Practitioners in the medical arena, examining it from the inside out. For 36 hours let us join together to take a look at our occupations, hear from Gedolei Torah, expert Medical Professionals, ask the difficult questions, and create strategies that will help us in our respective constituencies who depend on us.

The focus of the conference will be to inform, educate, raise awareness and give chizuk to those who are involved in serving individuals and families that face serious medical challenges and end of life illness.

Assertive Leadership Skills: Learn to take charge and get the job done in your shul and practice... and earn respect, loyalty, and admiration along the way - "Assertive" doesn't mean overbearing, pushy, or autocratic. The assertive style is a valuable, balanced approach that ensures you'll work well with people, get things done, and communicate precisely all in the same level headed, confident manner. Learn how to: ask for what you need...and get it, get control over conflict, give positive, constructive criticism, set boundaries that boards and employees respect, and ultimately improve your self-image and confidence in your role as a leader.
