The summer months bring long, relaxing weeknights and weekends that offer a welcome opportunity to catch up on our reading. With that in mind, National Council of Young Israel Viewpoint is proud to share with you a selection of reviews and excerpts of eleven books that we have chosen, in the hope that they will inform, inspire, and entertain. Our selection includes a wide variety of books on topics ranging across the spectrum of contemporary interests. In these pages you’ll find: the amazing story of a young woman’s triumph over serious illness; parenting advice from experts in psychology and chinuch; diet advice based on Maimonides’ philosophy on attaining good health; thoughtful essays about the state of Israel in the 21st century; and inspiring shiurim based on the teachings of Rav Kook delivered in memory of hero-soldier Roi Klein; and so much more. We hope you will “dip into” this “pool” of great reading, and we wish all of our readers a healthy, relaxing and “literary” summer.
