Young Israel of Great Neck hosts the Zoo Rabbi

Rabbi Natan Slifkin, the noted Zoo Rabbi, will be speaking at the Young Israel on Thursday evening, August 13th and on Shabbat, August 15th.

Rabbi Natan Slifkin, a.k.a. the Zoo Rabbi, is a lecturer at yeshivos and seminaries in Israel, the author of numerous books on Torah and the natural world, and has taught Zoo Torah to thousands of people worldwide.

Apple Picking Sunday

Here's the info:

Join us on Sunday, September 27th at 11 am for Apple Picking at Barton Orchards
in New York's Hudson Valley. It will be ripe apple picking season.


Where will we meet?
We'll meet at 11:00am at the stage in Barton Orchards. The Orchard is
about 1 hour drive from White Plains.

What will we do?
Pick as many apples as our hearts desire. You do have to pay for them though!
There will also be hay rides, and live music, petting zoo, a corn maze, and more.

How long will we apple pick?
We will meet at 11 am, and will leave by 2:30pm, so everyone can be back by 3:30pm
(ish).


What do I need to bring?
Comfortable clothing, shoes, $$, sunscreen, hats, water, snacks if you want to.

*Note about food: the orchard does not allow any outside food to be brought in.
We are allowed to eat in the parking lot, so if you bring snacks, you can eat
when we get there, or take a break and go back to your car to eat.

What if it rains?
Heavy rain cancels.
